Following the trail of two blockbuster devices — Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet — Sony finally announced the successor of last year’s Xperia M to be, you’ve guess it: Xperia M2.
The mid-range Xperia M2 is rocking a 540 x 960 resolution qHD display that is sized at 4.8 inches (~229PPI). It has the same OmniBalance design we all knew and love on current Xperia devices.
DIsappointingly, this device comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, and running it is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, Adreno 305 GPU, and 1GB RAM. The internal storage is at a bare minimum 8GB, but can be expanded by another 32GB through microSD cards.

Sony touts that this device, though a mid-range, is the best in its class on display and device size. Measuring 139.6 x 71.1 x 8.6 mm and weighing 148 grams, it is close to the Moto G, but its qHD display seems to lose out to Moto G’s 720p panel, though Xperia takes the cake with its 8MP camera, a larger 2300mAh battery, and 4G LTE support.
Sony Xperia M2 ships around the April time frame for around around €220 (~RM991.75). Visit Sony Mobile for more on this device.
